BUILDING PERMIT GRANTED FOR LEGACY CLASSIC PROJECT IN HIGH POINT
Landmark Builders has received a building permit from the city of High Point to construct a 347,000-square-foot distribution center and corporate office for Legacy Classic Furniture.
The value of the permit was $11.2 million, according to public records. Legacy, when it announced the project in June, said it expected to invest more than $18 million in the distribution center, which will house 120 workers.
The building is being constructed in Carolina Investment Properties’ Premier Center off NC 68 in north High Point. It will include 40,000 square feet of office space. Legacy is moving from its 225,000-square-foot facility in Whitsett.
High Point City Council granted Legacy $305,000 in incentives as part of the project. The new building will have the capability to be expanded to 500,000 square feet in the future.
Landmark Builders is based in Winston-Salem.
