Landmark Builders, Inc. recently announced the launch of a new data center construction division led by Mark Hill as senior director of data centers.

Landmark has followed the growth of data centers across the Southeast for several years. The company’s industrial and commercial clients are moving into this type of development themselves and have asked Landmark to grow into it alongside them across the Southeast. The company is building this new division with the same discipline that has defined it for over five decades, led by a veteran mission-critical builder.

“Entering this market is a natural extension of who we are and the work we’ve always done. Mark knows how Landmark builds, and he has delivered mission-critical work at the highest level.”

Wrenn Wells, Executive Vice President

The division will serve private and enterprise data center owners of all sizes, from facilities under 5 MW to buildings of 50+ MW. Services span the full project lifecycle, from professional services — such as owner’s representation and consulting — through preconstruction, including site due diligence and feasibility; design; utility and power strategy; and long-lead equipment procurement. Construction services include upfits, renovations, expansions of operating facilities and new construction.

Hill was previously with Landmark before a 13-year career developing mission-critical facilities around the world. He returns to Landmark with deep expertise in this exact discipline and a firsthand understanding of how Landmark supports its clients’ success.

“Entering this market is a natural extension of who we are and the work we’ve always done. Mark knows how Landmark builds, and he has delivered mission-critical work at the highest level. That combination lets us serve our clients in this space with confidence and creates new opportunities for our employee-owners to grow alongside it,” said Wrenn Wells, executive vice president.

“Data center owners need a builder who understands both the technical demands of mission-critical work and the importance of a trusted relationship. That’s what Landmark has always delivered, and it’s what we will bring to every project in this space,” said Hill.

The new division is currently supporting projects and welcomes conversations with owners and developers planning new facilities, expansions or upgrades.
